Entryway Remodel

From the moment we decided to put an offer on our house, I was set on getting rid of the entryway closet. I grew up in a no-shoe home and planned to continue that with my kids, and the closet didn’t seem ideal. Besides, I liked the idea of a more open entryway.

We got the keys on a Friday, and Saturday my dad tore out the closet while my husband ripped up the carpet. To be honest, I can’t even remember the house with the closet, and I only have two pictures of it. My dad put up drywall and mudded everything, and even with the obvious signs of construction, it looked a ton better!

“Homemade” Halloween Costumes

I was never really into Halloween costumes. I felt silly dressing up and hated the attention. Now that I have kids, I get excited about it! I personally love “homemade” costumes. I don’t mean every stitch has to be sewn at home. I just mean costumes that are put together by the person and not just bought all together at the store.

There’s nothing wrong with store bought costumes, of course. I just love the creativity and uniqueness that comes with putting a costume together. It was so fun to purposefully paint and decorate an entire room while we waited for our little man’s arrival.

Who doesn’t love a baby shower?! Last year my sister had a bohemian baby shower and I thought I’d share a few pictures. Sadly, I didn’t take very many between getting things ready and taking care of my kids, but it was such a fun shower! Continue reading “Bohemian Baby Shower”

My little man turned 3 last week! His favorite things in the world right now are semi trucks and trailers. We threw him a little party and wanted him to experience the classic party pinata.

However, the only semi truck pinata I could find was online. I didn’t want to pay for shipping and even with a few weeks till his party, it would be cutting it close to get it in time. So, I made my own! Continue reading “DIY Semi Truck Pinata”
