An Autumn Wedding

I recently came across the CD of my wedding pictures! I enjoyed looking through them and wanted share some of the details. I tried to add some unique and personal touches to my wedding and loved how everything turned out.

I wanted the traditional white dress and shoes and even wanted white flowers. But I wanted to add a touch of purple, which was one of my wedding colors. I went with crackle polish! It was unique and not too obvious.

Seriously, the crackle polish might just be my favorite personal touch! Also, I’m not typically a pearl bracelet type of person, but it went perfectly with my wedding look. Simple and elegant.

I’m all for a dash of color in wedding pictures, but I couldn’t help but love the simplicity of these white gerber daisies.

I LOVE fall! I was so excited to have a fall wedding. While our green and purple reception wasn’t exactly fall-like, I found some awesome white pumpkinsfor our centerpieces. They weren’t Halloweeny but hinted at fall. Plus, they weren’t a waste of money. My mom, sister, and I pull them out every fall to decorate the house!

You may have seen these picture rocks before. They are pretty simple to make with some Mod Podgeclear glass beads, and pictures. My fiance and I had a lot of fun making these out of our engagement pictures. We added some purple and green rocks as well.

We had a candy bar for refreshments with mostly green and  purple candy… and some fall M&Ms and other tasty treats. I had a lot of fun picking out the glass jars and the candy to go in them. We had lots of cute candy jars like this one or this one or these ones. The silver candy scoops just added to the candy table.

All purple Hershey’s Kisses!

The church gym wasn’t exactly the fanciest setting, but these green, purple, and white puff balls provided a nice backdrop for our candy bar.

It’s been nearly six years, and I’m still in love with how this candy bar turned out!

Our wedding cake was another of our awesome personal touches! I had a lot of people comment that they couldn’t believe I agreed to it. I wanted something unique, and of course this had a story behind it…

My husband and I were set up on a blind date. He bought a green, two-door Jeep from a lady in my neighborhood. For some reason she thought we would be good together. (We are pretty opposite.) We went on a lot of Jeeping dates, too.

We found this remote control Jeep that was basically perfect… except it was some bright color like yellow or orange. I don’t remember which. So my husband painted it green, and it turned out awesome.

I loved how casual this cake topper was. It fit our Jeep theme perfectly, and while we never actually had to piggyback through mud (thank goodness!), I thought the chocolate mud was a cute touch. Plus, I still use our cake topper as a decoration above our fireplace.

This sign…I actually can’t even believe I agreed to have this at our wedding. My husband made a lot of jokes about getting married during hunting season. I’m not even sure how this sign came about.

I had a lot of fun making scrapbook pages for people to leave comments on. I used purple, green, and cream paper with our engagement pictures and brought some matching markers.

I went all white. From my dress to my shoes, jewelry, flowers, and flower hair clip. Like I said, I’m not a pearl necklace kind of girl, but it fit so perfectly with my dress.

I love every little detail here! My nails, engagement ring, lace dress, and white gerber daisies!

White Crocs! I know, I know, most people have strong opinions on the Crocs subject. I wear them basically year round, so it was kind of an obvious choice. Plus, I’m not much of a high heels or fancy shoes girl. It may be atypical, but go with what fits you.

We were halfway through my bridals when someone had brilliant idea to take some in my husband’s Jeep. Not even the one we met because of, but still cool. I love the contrast between the muddy Jeep and my white dress!
