Autumn Decor

Autumn! Seriously the best time of the year! The fall leaves are beautiful and the chill in the air is amazing. It’s also so much fun to decorate for. I’ve had my fall decorations up since late August and wanted to share some of my favorite fall looks.

I’m super excited this year because I finally got the fireplace painted black. I’d wanted to do it for the last four years, and the front room looks SO much better with the black instead of the brown.

I love strands of leaves and just wish they weren’t so expensive…they would be everywhere! I especially like the little statue of the couple among the leaves. It was our cake topper at our wedding.

This is another super exciting thing this fall…our entryway was finished late fall last year and I didn’t fully decorate it before it was time for Christmas decor. So I had fun with it this year. I added a strand of leaves and a few pumpkins. I bought a few fall flowers at the dollar store and put them in a vase, and I put a few shimmery pumpkins in a lantern.

I seriously have pumpkins everywhere! I collect a few more every year. The only problem is most of them are breakable and I’m running out of places to put them where the kids can’t reach them.

The dollar store has been awesome for adding a little fall touch here and there. These cutouts were a dollar each…three dollars to make this whole wall look a little more festive!

More pumpkins! And this cute scarecrow that my son (who is super into dinosaurs) thinks growls.

Tip: if you use straw or hay bales, keep them in the plastic. We’ve used these for at least five years and they never make a mess!

Bath and Body Works. Need I say more?

I couldn’t help myself this year and got so many awesome fall smells that I had to get a few new wallflowers. They have such cute options now, too.

And last but not least, I found some cheap leaves at Wal-Mart (like $3 each) and only needed four to wrap my staircase…which I’m also loving black this year 🙂

Add a cute fall blanket to the couch and a shower curtain to add a fall touch to the bathroom, and your set!
