My three year old LOVES trucks. He’s obsessed. The whole drive to anywhere we go he points out every truck, trailer, and construction vehicle he sees. When we go on walks, he makes a point of finding every truck he can. I can’t believe how many he finds!

I know he would love trucks, trucks, and more trucks, but I also think it’s fun to mix it up a little and give him truck-related gifts as well. Here are some fun ideas to compliment all the trucks:

Plates and Bowls

Maybe it’s just my kid who I struggle to get to eat, but I’m guessing not. Why not make mealtime fun with this creative construction utensil and plate set? Or this fun sectioned dump truck plate? You may even be able to trick them into eating. Seriously, these look fun even to me!

And what about cups and bowls? Complete the set with these cute truck cups and truck bowls. Have a little fire fighter on your hands? Check out this awesome firetruck plate with a firetruck fork and spoon.

Books

I’m all about teaching my kids to love reading, and I can’t think of a better way to do that than reading them books I know they’ll love. My son’s favorite book right now is With Any Luck I’ll Drive a Truck. He even has it memorized. It’s a cute book too, and one I don’t mind reading, or listening to, over and over again.

There are tons of other cute truck books, depending on what your little one likes. There are books about all kinds of trucks and ones about one kind, like these fun construction books. Goodnight, Goodnight Construction Site and
The Construction Alphabet Book would be perfect for your little construction worker!

Puzzles

Puzzles are awesome for young kids. They help kids to problem solve, recognize shapes and colors, and have fun. Whether your little one likes construction vehicles or  emergency vehicles, there is something for everyone. For more complicated puzzles, check out these awesome block puzzles. Six puzzles in one!

Blankets and Sheets

What kid doesn’t like blankets? Not only are they great for sleeping, but they are also great for forts, cuddling up on the couch, and staying warm in the car in the winter. Check out this cute firetruck blanket and this adorable  transportation blanket. Add some construction sheets to complete the look.

Clothing

It’s no secret that children love things that go, so there are tons of awesome clothes out there  your little one would love. Everything from monster truck underwear and striped construction underwear (great for potty training!) to rain coats and socks. And of course, there is an endless supply of shirts and jammies. There is even this awesome garbage truck shirt!

Your kiddos need clothes anyway. Why not get them clothes they’ll be excited about? Win, win!

Coloring and Painting

Sometimes kids are totally content when you give them a plain sheet of paper and a few crayons, but sometimes it’s fun to spice things up a bit. Check out these car shaped crayons,  construction vehicle crayons, and fire truck crayons. Who knew there were crayons in so many fun shapes?! There is even this fun truck shaped crayon box.

Let’s not forget something to color on! There is the ever popular trucks, planes, and cars coloring book or the super fun paint with water that I used to love as a kid! Or check out this fun wooden dump truck you can paint.

Additional Ideas

There are so many fun things to consider for your truck lover. What about this lunch box? Or this pop up firetruck? Or even these vehicle storage boxes? Another win for parents! Fun and exciting for kids and helpful for organizing the toys!
