I love ordering things online! It’s twice the excitement as shopping in a store because I get to enjoy picking something out and then getting it in the mail!
On the other hand, I am picky about what I’m willing to pay shipping for, so I only order things I’m fairly sure I’ll like. I thought it might be fun to share some of my favorite Amazon buys from the last two years or so.
Personal Items
Sunglasses: I loved these so much that I’ve ordered them twice! I like how they wrap around the sides to keep the sun out. There are a few cute colors to choose from, and they have a few rhinestones for some flair. The best part is they are only $9!
Facial Razor: I saw someone use these on Instagram and thought they were worth $4 to try. I only recently started plucking my eyebrows but was never able to handle plucking my mustache or the hairs on my “beauty mark.” These little razors have been perfect!
Keepons: I used these for years before I got LASIK. I struggled so much wearing glasses. I hated how they constantly slid down my nose. These Keepons helped keep my glasses on tight. They were sometimes hard to get on, depending on how thick the arms on my glasses were, and they had to be replaced occasionally when they hardened.
Pop Socket: I can’t believe I waited so long to try one of these! They seemed annoying, in the way, and unnecessary. I was wrong. They are amazing. My hand is so much more comfortable holding my phone, and I love that I can easily prop my phone up to watch a show.
Custom Decal: I really like the vinyl decal look. I’d wanted a quote from One Tree Hill on my wall for years and finally ordered it from this link on Amazon. It turned out great!
Baby Proofing/Child Proofing Items
Door Pinch Guards: I have two little boys. Need I say more?! But seriously, I mostly got these because I was sick of the door slamming. My four-year-old likes to close doors on my two-year-old, and my two-year-old likes to close door and then freak out when he realizes he can’t open them. These have been life savers! They also have the added perk of preventing pinched fingers.
Door Knob Covers: It was an eye-opening and slightly terrifying thing the day my oldest learned to open doors. Then he started messing with the front door and accidentally unlocking the door without me knowing. Needless to say, these door knob covers have been so helpful. I have one on the front door, one on the crawlspace door, and one on the extra bedroom where I store stuff.
Flip Action Door Locks: An alternative to the door knob covers when the door opens outward. I have one of these on the furnace room door, and my kids have never noticed or messed with it.
Baby Items
Umbrella Stroller: I have a couple strollers now. I have a single, a double, and an umbrella stroller. Each is useful for different situations. Because my oldest is almost 5, I only really need a stroller for him if we are going for a long walk. The umbrella stroller is easy to leave in the car, fit in the doctors’ offices, and even have my oldest push!
Backpack Diaper Bag: I LOVE this thing. I had a regular over-the-shoulder bag when my first was a baby. It was heavy on one shoulder and made it hard to lean over to pick up the baby or lean down to hold his hand. I will always use a backpack now! This one has lots of pockets, straps that won’t rip off, and a front pocket that zips all the way down. And the price is pretty darn great!
Formula mixers: My youngest was on 27 calorie milk and thickener. Feeding him was a lot of work. He got breast milk or formula fortified with extra formula with thickener added. There was a lot to mix together, and I tended to have a lot of clumps left over. I thought about how awesome the mixing balls for workout drinks would be for his milk and was so excited when I found these! They were lifesavers!
Bathroom Items
Poo-Pourri: I know it sounds silly, but this stuff worked great! I got it for my husband as a silly Christmas gift, but he ended up really liking it. And so did I. It would be a fun white elephant gift, too.
Squatty Potty: Another kind of silly, but useful, gift I purchased. This squatty potty can be adjusted to two different heights and fits right around the bottom of the toilet. It is simple, decent looking, and useful, if you know what I mean.
Bath Overflow Drain Cover: Do you remember when you were a kid and could fit your whole body under the water in the bathtub. I miss that. This drain cover suctions onto the tub to keep the water from going down the overflow. So you can get a few more inches of water in the tub without listening to it constantly flow down the drain.
Other Purchases
LifeStraw: Alright, to be honest, I have not yet used this product. But I’m really glad. I bought it for my emergency preparedness stash and have yet to have an emergency. These give me such peace of mind, though, because if anything ever happened and I needed clean drinking water, these would be great to have on hand.
Pitcher/Water Bottle: When I came home from the hospital after having my first baby, I was in love with my water bottle. My husband kept trying to use it, so I finally found one for him! Worth the $8.
Waterproof Picnic Blanket: I bought this just a few weeks ago when I saw another mom with one at the splash pad. It is lightweight and folds up (though I struggle to remember the right way to fold it). It is waterproof, so I can lay it on damp grass without getting wet, and the grass doesn’t stick to it like it does to my blankets. I’m excited for all the things we can use it for!
So there you have it, some of my favorite Amazon purchases. I’d love to hear what you think if you buy any of these things. What are your favorite things you’ve purchased on Amazon?
