My husband and I moved into our house four years ago. I immediately took down the tiny, cream cupboard mirror and shiny chrome towel holders, which were falling apart. After that, nothing happened.
I used to wonder why people didn’t just finish things around the house. Turns out, it’s hard to stay on top of everything, and the basement bathroom became a low priority.
I’ve been itching to make our house the way I want it and decided to start a project last month. I was a little nervous because I tend to be a perfectionist and hesitate to start things I’m not totally confident I can do well. Thanks to a friend who helped me paint, I finally finished the bathroom.
I originally planned on just painting and picked out a pretty mint color. Then I couldn’t help but imagine what it would look like all put together. I didn’t plan on a beach theme, but it seemed to go well with the color.
I spent a week going to different stores and taking pictures of all the things I might like to decorate with. Then I decided what would look best together. A few things were sold out, so a few changes later, I had everything.
It was a really fun project! I loved picking everything out and learning a few more things about measuring and hanging. I LOVE how it turned out and can’t wait to do another house project.
Check out how it turned out!
