My little man turned one! I know babies don’t remember their first birthdays, but I love first birthday parties. Mostly I love watching the cake smash. But I also love putting things together to decorate.
Let me be clear: I am not a “Pinterest mom.” I don’t come up with crazy things myself or go super overboard. I just love being able to add a few small details.
My son’s name is Griffin. He’s a NICU grad. He has laryngomalacia and dysphagia. He just got his g-tube out. He’s had a lot of struggles this year, and we thought it was fitting that Gryffindors are brave and strong and courageous.
Kind of a perfect.
Although his birthday is in February, illnesses have been bad this year and we had to postpone so many times we were able to have the party outside in the beautiful spring weather. It was a little harder to figure out decorations, but it was more enjoyable with more for the kids to do!
